Tendre Poison
Tendre Poison by Christian Dior is the second scent in Dior’s popular Poison series. After their success with the original Poison, Dior returns with a fragrance that is much quieter than its predecessor. Tendre is a light floral bouquet that contains the notes mandarin, galbanum and freesia. Middle notes include amber, honey and orange. The base consists of cedarwood, vanilla and sandalwood.
Tendre Poison is a fragrance that is designed to appeal to a much younger audience. It isn’t heavy and overbearing, but very light and utterly beautiful. Dior’s Tendre Poison starts out with a floral and citrus mixture. You will be able to smell oranges and mandarin mixed with galbanum, truly magnificent introduction. As the fragrance begins to settle, then you get to the next layer which is very sweet. It is a nice floral mist that is completely different from the brashness of the original Poison. Here it is sweet and green and this is a result of the notes such as amber and honey. The original Poison was heavy on spices and was very dark, Tendre is fresher, lighter and very green. The dry down is almost powdery and this is where the sandalwood and vanilla come into play making it feel like a very soft floral bouquet.
Christian Dior’s Tendre Poison will come across as being a very light and delicate fragrance. It goes along with being happy and joyful and this can be attributed to it making the person feel as if they were doused with fresh flower petals all over the body. 9 years after the original Poison comes out, Tendre returns to be a gentler, lighter version. It is still poison but with its own unique identity.
The Christian Dior Tendre Poison is a fragrance that should be worn in the daytime. It is a very strong perfume that can last the course of the day. Tendre Poison is created for the younger audience in mind, however if you were a fan of the original, then you will definitely enjoy this one. It can hold its own, even though it is not as popular as its big sister.
