Hypnotic Poison

dior-hypnotic-poisonHypnotic Poison by Christian Dior is the third scent in the highly successful Poison fragrance series. This fragrance is very sweet and creamy mixture that is different from the past two offerings. Hypnotic Poison has notes such as Bitter Almond, Caraway, Moss, Jasmine Sambac, Vanilla, Jacarander Wood and Musk.

When first smelling Dior’s Hypnotic Poison you will be greeted with a very nice honey/almond smell. The top notes of caraway and bitter almond are all responsible for the delightful smell. The fragrance does not become too sweet as the bitter almond is able to reduce the overall sweetness of this perfume. As the next layer of the fragrance approaches, you will be hit with the sweet and warm scent of vanilla. This is not the vanilla that you would expect in food, but it works very well in this fragrance. The final layer is a nice woody tone that has a small sampling of spice and musk. All of these ingredients come together to give a fragrance that is not only alluring and intriguing, but also very sexy. It is a young and fresh smell, but not too young that that grown women could not wear it.

Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison is a really nice fragrance. It is sweet and warm, without being too over the top. The wearer will feel as if they were splashed with a comforting vanillaish fragrance that is very soothing.

Hypnotic Poison is different from the original version. In comparison, it won’t shock like Poison, but it will hold its own. It is more a comforting fragrance that uses a wide variety of ingredients to create a delightful sweetness.

The Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison is a very long lasting fragrance. It will still smell strong after 6-8 hours after application and some have stated that it even lasts as long as 24 hours. This perfume should be applied very lightly, as a heavy application may overrun the smell.
